This is an exceptional place of care and learning for your child.It is difficult to put into words how we feel about... The Oak Montessori in Wimbledon Park. What Natasha, Charlotte and their devoted team have managed to create here is the most incredible, amazing, wonderful, loving, caring, safe, encouraging and supporting environment for your precious child to develop their uniquely individual character and personality.From our first meeting with Natasha and Charlotte we could feel their overwhelming passion and enthusiasm for creating the ideal learning environment and what they have created in The Oak is truly remarkable.I'm Irish and my wife is French/Irish. We relocated to Wimbledon (with a new job) but knew nothing of the nursery options in the area - except that there are many - so, having had good prior experience with a Montessori school in France, we visited all the Montessori nurseries we could find in the area... and this was by far the one standout place from the dozen or so that we visited/reviewed.The location, beside the lake in the heart of Wimbledon Park, is ideal for any school but with the integrated forest school days the children really get to make the most of exploring their picturesque surroundings - we were very pleasantly surprised by how much our son learned from his time outside with the wonderful Miss Claudi.The Oak should be recognised and celebrated as a shining example of the exceptional level of care and individual development that is possible to create for young children at their most crucial and foundational intellectual and emotional development stage. We are sure that our son will continue to benefit from his own individual development here for many years to come.If you are looking for a place where you child will be and feel loved (yes, loved) then rest assured, this is the most exceptional place you could possibly imagine.We have been blown away by the incredible level of care, attention and connection our son has experienced at The Oak Montessori.We consider ourselves especially lucky to have found this place, and to have had Natasha, Charlotte and their amazing team in our and our son's lives. ...As a further example of the exceptional level of care you'll experience at The Oak, they have been providing a daily 30-40 minute video-call "circle time" to enable the children to start each day together, as they would do under normal circumstances. Their communication throughout the lockdown has been more consistent than the UK government and 100% more transparent... and Natasha and Charlotte's preparations and plans for reopening have been meticulous and extraordinarily reassuring. The Oak Montessori is the best nursery, I can’t recommend it enough!! Setting is fantastic, but above all the staff is... amazing, you can see they put so much love in every thing they do, they encourage your child to learn but also to have fun and to spend a great time. So personalised in every single way, with an incredible online platform where you can see how your child is learning and progressing. Reports are sent in a weekly basis and also always available for one on one conversations to discuss how your child’s doing. Very transparent. Always honest. I would recommend The Oak Montessori to anyone who is looking something more than a safe and happy environment for their child... here they are loved, entertained and looked after with the best smiles, hugs and patience. Ten out of ten. Very grateful for making Manu’s first year at Nursery so fascinating!read more

Couldn’t recommend it more - the setting is exceptional (I wish I would have been able to go to school in a parc... everyday), the inside of the nursery is organised, clean and so pretty, the teachers are kind and have such a positive energy, the forest school element is great too. Our son has learnt so much there, so many new words, which always surprised and amazed us. When we dropped him if we knew he was in safe hands, that he would learn lots and have fun.read more

The Oak is just brilliant, it is in the most wonderful environment to learn in, the staff are all so loving and... nurturing as well as being fab teachers. Our son took a little while to settle in but they never gave up on him and suggested so many really helpful ways to help him - he now loves it! I cannot recommend it highly enough!read more

My daughter started here in September 2019 and has literally loved every single minute since the doors opened. She has... thrived in the lovely Montessori classroom and the forest school side has also been a HUGE hit. Couldn’t recommend this place more, it’s just everything you could ask for; wonderful caring, dedicated, friendly staff, and all in an incredible location in the middle of the park.read more
